Donald Trump on Thursday accused CNN of bias, even after reports hours earlier that the network hired his former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, as a political commentator.
“CNN, which is totally biased in favor of Clinton, should apologize. They knew they were wrong,” the presumptive GOP presidential nominee tweeted Thursday, linking to a report that claims CNN lied about Trump’s characterization of presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton‘s immigration policies.
In another tweet, he accused the news network of lying to make Clinton look better.
“Here is another CNN lie. The Clinton News Network is losing all credibility. I’m not watching it much anymore,” Trump wrote.
Lewandowski, who was fired from the Trump campaign Monday, will work for CNN in a salaried position and be exclusive to the network, according to reports Thursday.
Trump frequently blasts the network on Twitter. In June alone, Trump sent out six tweets accusing it of unfair treatment.
In a tweet from earlier this month, he accused CNN of distorting his words while praising Fox News for treating him fairly.
Earlier in June, Trump called CNN’s news shows “predictable garbage.”
Trump has also feuded with other cable news networks throughout his campaign.
Trump and Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly had a tumultuous relationship after she questioned him about his treatment of women at a debate last summer. He called her “overrated” and “crazy” and made an apparent reference to her menstrual cycle, and he skipped a Fox News debate a week before the Iowa caucuses. But the feud died down after she hosted him in a prime-time special last month.
Trump has also repeatedly gone after MSNBC host Joe Scarborough after he called the presumptive Republican nominee a “rank amateur” and criticized his aggressiveness.
