A senior official, who decided to stay anonymous has told the media that Donald Trump has already chosen his running mate, and is planning to announce it very soon.
Against all odds, Trump defeated the political establishment and 16 well-seasoned opponents, and still remains with record-high poll numbers.
Now its time for him and his campaign to refocus and look at the bigger picture.
Previously, Corey Lewandowski while he was part of the campaign has given some hints on who his running mate will be. Trump will pick “someone who has federal elective experience so they understand how to make sure that they can get his legislative agenda done” – said Corey at CBS’ This Morning Show.
That meant that many of the mentioned possible candidates were out, and the ones left (we are talking from the inner circle) are Gov. Mike Pence or Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
A senior official working with Trump has leaked an information that Trump has chosen Newt as his running mate. Newt is by far the most experienced of all, and enjoys great support from the public.
Newt Gingrich represented Georgias 6th congressional district for 20 years (from 1979 – 1999), and served as the 50th Speaker of the House from 1995 until 1999. In 2012, Newt was candidate for the Republican Party presidential nomination, and lost to Mitt Romney – so far the biggest opponent of Trump. Currently Newt serves as an adviser to Canadian mining company Barrick Gold.
,,With more than 25 years of federal elective experience, Trump is certain that Newt is the best pick there is,, – says the senior officer.
Now its for us to wait and see if this information is true, and if Trump will officialy announce Newt as his running mate.
